The GoPro HERO3 is probably the coolest little camera on the market today. It’s capable of high frame rates, and high video resolutions. People are always coming up with DIY projects for the GoPro. I’ve recently had the opportunity to try out a cool DIY project with the GoPro HERO3 Black Edition. I successfully streamed GoPro HERO3 video over WiFi to a PC. Before we get into the nitty-gritty details of getting your GoPro to stream over to your PC, I want to go over a few things. First of all, doing this will not give you any control of the GoPro whatsoever. The only thing you will be able to do is view the video directly from the GoPro to your PC. How does this help me you ask? Well, you could use it as an external monitor to see what you are filming with your GoPro. There really isn’t any other functional use for this setup. It’s just for fun! Although, there may be other things you could possibly do, but I do not want to give those ideas away at this time. Okay, here we go.
