Recently, following Xbox’s (360) dashboard update came a new app for the iOS, My Xbox Live. My Xbox Live isn’t replacing the Xbox, however it is a great software alternative that gives Live members instant access to their friends, messages, profile, and game history. On top of all that, they can edit their avatar right from their device.
My Xbox Live is broken up into three different sections: home, social, and games.
The home section is often showing the tops news, along with some Xbox favorites like the Kinect Show.
The social section is the bulkiest of the app, allowing you to view your friend’s profiles, compare achievements, and view anything friend related, all the much quicker. On top of that, Microsoft (creator of Xbox360) has introduced a new feature, allowing players to send out a call to all their friends at once.
When it comes to editing your avatar, My Xbox Live has a great smooth mechanic, allowing you to tap and swipe, instead of using the controller, or Kinect. You can also edit any of your profile details.
My Xbox Live is not the next best thing, however it does come in handy when you’re on the go and not around your Xbox, or just want to quickly know what friends are online!
